ProofUp is an AI-powered tenant screening platform built by Rex Tech Ventures to catch income fraud before it becomes delinquency. ProofUp was built inside a property management company that kept encountering forged pay stubs during income verification. We built what we needed and made it available to everyone else. The pay stub said one thing. The bank said another. The pay stub on your desk looks fine. It usually does. Forged income documents have fooled leasing teams for twenty years. Now AI means anyone can produce a convincing one in minutes. ProofUp connects to the applicant's bank and payroll directly via Plaid. The income figure in the dashboard comes from the account, not from a document. Uploaded files get read at the data level. Applicants match a live selfie to their government ID. The whole thing takes under three minutes.
